Towel Care Guide

To maximise absorbency and reduce shrinkage we recommend that you soak your towel in cold water for 12 hours before use.

Machine wash your towel in a low temperature setting of 30-40C.

Select a gentle spin cycle (<800 spins per minute), higher spins are unforgiving for the tassels & can cause them to unravel.

Avoid fabric softeners as they reduce the natural absorbency by coating the fibres in chemicals.

Be careful not to wash your towels with any items that may catch on the loops or tassels.

Machine dry on low heat or line dry in the sunshine.

Tip: to maximize the absorbency of your towels, add a cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle once a month. This will restore your towels to full absorbency. The vinegar will remove excess detergent & oil that builds up after successive washing.

If your towels become dull or stained you can add 1/4 cup of baking soda and one cup of white vinegar to your wash, as a natural treatment.

Please do not use bleach, it weakens fibres making them less absorbent and more fragile.

All tassels on our towels are hand twisted and tied so we recommend tightening each tassel before your first wash.

If your tassel comes undone then they can be easily knotted by dividing the threads into two equal sections and twisting each section clockwise until fully twisted. Then, take each section and wrap them around each other in an anti-clockwise direction until fully twisted around each other. Simply finish the process by tying a knot at the end.
